Marcus Chavez is a Navajo silversmith from Shiprock, New Mexico, a town on the Navajo reservation that has produced generations of serious silversmiths. His work covers a wide range of forms: bracelets, necklaces, pendants, and earrings, each one built around the materials and design traditions that define Navajo craft.

His pieces draw on both geometric and floral silverwork, often set with turquoise in varying cuts alongside other stones: moonstone, wild horse stone, and cluster arrangements that require patience to assemble well. He also works with vintage coin silver, an older Navajo technique that carries its own history. The range across his collection reflects both the breadth of his training and a willingness to move between styles without losing the thread of the tradition he comes from.
