Collection: Roger Skeet Jr.

Roger Skeet Jr. came up in silversmithing the same way many of the finest Navajo artists did: through his father. Roger Skeet Sr. built a reputation for clean-lined, traditionally-crafted pieces with careful detailing, and his son learned the craft directly from him. The work they produced shares so much in approach and execution that the two are difficult to tell apart, which is itself a measure of how completely Roger Jr. absorbed what his father built.

After his father passed, Roger Jr. continued making and began hallmarking his pieces with "R.S." That mark is both a signature and a continuation: the same standards, the same tradition, the same hands-on method carried forward. Their concho belts in particular show what that tradition looks like at its best: precise silverwork, strong lines, and the kind of detailing that holds up under close inspection.
