Frequently Asked Questions

How are these rugs made?

Each rug is hand-woven on an upright loom using hand-spun wool. The collection runs from vintage rugs from the 1890s through work from current looms.

What patterns do you carry?

Our inventory includes historic regional Navajo patterns such as Ganado and Two Grey Hills. Since every rug is one of a kind, what’s available changes as pieces sell.

Where do your rugs come from?

Richardson’s has been a family-owned trading post in Gallup, New Mexico since 1913, and still works out of the same building on Route 66. We buy directly from the artists, and nothing in our collection is mass produced.

Can I return or exchange a rug?

All sales are final. We do allow exchanges if the rug comes back in its original condition and is postmarked within 3 days of receipt. Call 505-722-4762 before you buy to confirm size, condition and details.
